Research Interests

Epigenetic analysis deals with cases of alternate gene expression states that are heritable, but are not caused by changes in DNA sequences. In plants, such phenomena can be based on alternate chromatin states capable of stand-alone maintenance. My work is aimed to explore the underlying mechanisms in the model plant Arabidopsis thaliana in order to understand their contribution to plant performance and to provide a knowledge base for harnessing them in green biotechnology.
