Nouf Alshareef

PhD Student

Research Group: Mark Tester

Research Interests

Nouf has a MSc. in molecular genetics from King Abdualaziz University (Saudi Arabia). She is interested in characterizing candidate genes identified as potential contributors to salinity tolerance. In collaboration with Bernd Müller-Röber and Salma Balazadeh (MPI, Golm, Germany), she is using a reverse genetic approach to characterize a transcription factor that is hypothesized to regulate several other genes involved in salinity response.
