Research Interest

According to the Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO), in the world today more than one billion out of 6.5 billion people are affected by hunger and this situation is likely to be exacerbated as, between now and 2050, the global population is expected to increase by 40%.
My interest is in contributing to food security through the study of genomic engineering techniques, generating plants resistant to the most significant threats in the field.
