Research Interests

Dr. Jalal is interested to focus on the development of new techniques to elucidate physiological and molecular mechanisms underlying phytonutrient biosynthesis and nutrient metabolism aiming at biofortification of edible crops. The goal of his research is to improve the nutritional quality and health-promoting chemical properties of crops. He is also interested in revealing the biostimulant characterizations of Mizax technology in the phenotyping, nutrition, and production of food crops to deal with food and nutritional security.
